
Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has revealed he is in ‘positive’ talks over a new contract with the club.
The 31-year-old centre-back’s deal is due to expire at the end of the season, with United having the option to extend it by a further 12 months.
The England international confirmed he was in talks over a new deal after Saturday’s 2-1 win over Manchester City.

He won back his place despite the arrival of Lisandro Martinez and his own injury struggles, having played just 22 last season and not playing more than 40 games in any of the last three full campaigns.
“Listen, I’ve not thought about it at all,” Maguire said.
“I’ve got a year on my contract and they have the option to extend it for another year. “
But yeah, all the signs are pointing in a good direction and I’ve been having really good conversations.”
